Many dentists advertise themselves as "sedation dentists" but are simply prescribing oral sedatives (pills) — often in ways they weren't intended to be used. Dynamic Dental provides true IV sedation, the same you'd find in an oral surgeon's office. IV deep sedation surpasses the comfort and safety of any other office-based sedation.

When IV sedation may not be right
A pre-op appointment with Dr. Palmquist reviews your health history and includes a simple physical to confirm safety. Certain conditions typically rule sedation out in our office:
- Severe respiratory disease
- Severe cardiac disease
- Other conditions with adverse-reaction risk
If unable to be treated in office based setting, Dr. Palmquist does perform hospital dentistry at the local surgical center and regional hospital for individuals with special needs and development disabilities. He is one of the few dentists in the area that has hospital privileges.

18 year or older driver required – no exceptions
Because the amnesic effects of sedation last well beyond the appointment, you must arrange for someone you know who is 18 years or older to drive you home. This is non-negotiable for your safety.
